Training on stress management and a Health Days presentation were held for LAFARGE CEMENT personnel in Moscow and Voskresensk.

At international industrial companies, stress often arises from conflicts between “us” and “them”, which may have to do with a distrust of foreign management, lack of clear step-by-step procedures for technological processes, and disparity between expectations and reality. The typical outcomes of stress are as follows,

  • High personnel turnover

  • Absenteeism

  • Work-related injuries and mistakes in operating the equipment

  • Work disruptions and refusals by personnel; demotivation

The goal of stress-management trainings at international industrial companies is for the personnel to learn to identify individual sources of stress, to manage own emotional states, avert cross-cultural misunderstanding, distinguish between personal and professional contexts. From the trainings, participants come out with higher levels of work concentration, less irritable, with improved team spirit, and fewer instances of conflict.
